In order for your make up to look perfect, you think you need professional help, right? How many of us need to ask a friend to do their make up for a special event? Yes, I’m definitely one of those people. Moreover, regardless of wether you love make up or no, it’s a proven fact that make up is an art. In fact, not everyone knows and can do the perfect cat-eye or contouring or fuller lips.
However, make up artists did come up with easy and simple tricks for beginners. If you also struggle every morning with getting both eyes to look alike, that you end up wiping it all off, then this post is for you. Without further ado, here are 7 simple hacks that will make your perfect look perfect everyday.
Melt Your Eyelines
I bet that many people still don’t know about this. Apparently, melting the end of your eyeliner pencil will give it the properties of that expensive liquid eyeliner. Actually, according to Cosmopolitan magazine, when you warm up beauty products, they blend better and last longer.
Therefore, hold the tip of your eyeliner pencil, then light up the edge with a lighter for few seconds until melted the let it cool off. Make sure to first try it out on your hand to make sure it’s not too hot, and too melted. You will see how consistent the eyeliner will be, and you can finally get your eyeliner flawlessly done.
Use White Eyeliner Pencil
More eyeliner advice and hacks, since it’s probably the hardest and most time-consuming part of eye make up. Although the most common color is black, white eyeliner does have its perks. Have you ever paid attention to the runway models? They always have a glowy white area between the eyes and nose, and that somehow makes their eyes look bigger.
Actually, given experts advice, it does make your eyes look wider, bigger and brighter. In addition, if you use white eyeliner pencil on your eyelid, it will make your eye make up show more as it will intensify your eyes.
Smokey Eye Never Easier
Wether you are into dark eyeshadow colors or light ones, when it comes to achieving the perfect smokey eye, it gets a bit tricky (and messy!) Well, now you can perfect the smokey eye through a hashtag.
Yes, you read it correctly. All you need to do, is draw a small hashtag on the on the outer third of your eyelid, using a creamy brown eyeliner. (now you all knowhow to make an eyeliner pencil creamy. Hint: The first hack.) Then, use a sponge to blend it well, and add some lighter shades of eyeshadow to balance the colors.
Spoon To Put on Mascara
You hate that awful feeling when you spend 3 hours getting your make up done, only to smudge it all with mascara? This happens quite a lot actually, and a spoon from your kitchen drawer is the solution.
Grab a tablespoon, and place it on your eyelid (as it was hugging it) and then apply mascara. This will make the residue coat the back of the spoon instead of your eye.
Use a Tissue and Powder
This hack is super underrated, knowing it’s one of the best ways to make your make up perfect, and stick longer. Especially when you opt for a dark lip, they loose the color over the hours. Thus, the simple hack of applying a tissue to your lips, then dusting some translucent powder using a brush will do it.
Just like many people use setting and finishing powders on their face, we often neglect the lips. However, when you apply this hack, your lips stay intact and keep their initial glow. In addition, if you draw a small X on the middle of your upper lip, you can easily follow the lines to color your lip quickly and without looking like a clown in the process.
The Right Way To Put Concealer
Concealer is crucial to our make up routines, In fact, foundations and concealers are the base of any make up look you are trying to pull. Therefore, applying them carefully and with patience is crucial. Foundation needs to set before you continue doing your make up, and it must be well blended. On the other hand, concealer is not only intensively applied to cover dark circles, yet to lighten your entire face.
The first hack is to apply it with a triangular shape. The base of the triangle should start under your lash line and continue to the tip pointing toward the apple of your cheek. In addition to making your cheek-bones pop, it will leave your face looking flawless by creating an illusion of brighter under eyes.
Brow Gel To Help you Contour
Finally, the hardest part for last. Contouring is not necessarily included in everyone’s daily make up routine, but it most certainly helps knowing how to do it for a night out or an event. As it requires a set of different brushes, colors, asymetrically proportioned areas of your face etc…This small hack will make it seem a bit less complicated.
Furthermore, brow pencils can come in very handy in this situation, by replacing the counter colors palette. Just use a liquid brow gel to mark the ”darker shade” areas such as the hollows under your cheekbones, your temples, along your hairline, jawline, the sides of your nose, the tip of the nose, and the crease of your eyes. Then, blend it in with a sponge until it’s no longer smudgy. Voila, you can now continue doing your make up to look perfect.
