According to research, these are the physical features men find irresistible in women. In fact, Business Insider investigated the reason behind those once-over men perform when a woman passes by. According to their findings, men unconsciously (sometimes consciously, too) scan women to do a quick fitness assessment. Moreover, although women always think men who check them out are merely looking for sex, research shows that there is more to it than that.
Actually, men have certain physical features in mind, that make women attractive to them. Yes, we all know that it takes more than good looks to have kids with someone, but on primary ground, men check you out and subconsciously think if you can have their babies.
Waist to Hips Ratio
The research showed that a big portion of men admitted that they classify a wider waist to hips ratio, as one of the physical features they can’t resist. Apparently, the perfect ratio for men is ratio of 7:10, which they suggested was related to their preferences of fertility and child bearing.
Healthy Hair
In addition to a curvy body, men claim that a healthy hair is definitely a physical feature they are attracted to. Again, because it’s a good sign of good health and fertility. It’s no secret that most men like long hair, but did you know that, according to the scientific review, men also find dark strands more irresistible? (aka brunettes.) Lucky for us, there are plenty of hair masks that we can do at home using natural ingredients, that will fortify our hair, aid hair growth, and give it that irresistible smooth and shiny look.
White Smile
You know what they say, the best thing you can wear is a smile. That’s undoubtedly one of our favorite physical features in another human, regardless of gender. In fact, smiling adds an extra-glimpse of charm to basically anyone. Moreover, men admitted that when women smile, they automatically become more attractive. In addition, having a nice smile with white teeth is one of the main physical features men find irresistible. So, brush them teeth correctly, and wear that smile every time you come across an attractive guy.
Big Breasts
We are not going to lie, many of us have asked the ridiculous question of ”are you a boobs or a booty man?” to our partners/crushes. However, although there is no certain rule, and each man definitely has their own preference in the matter, the result of this study proved that more men opt for big breasts. In fact, when offered pictures of women, men were found to stare more at a woman’s breasts and waist. The study authors explain that “Men looked for longer at breasts, but attractiveness scores were more likely to be based on waist scores alone than the breast scores.”
A High Voice
Ladies, if you have a high-pitched voice that makes you feel uncomfortable at times, here are some good news. In fact, I’ve always been told that I have such a high and deep voice, in a way that made me feel ”manly.” However, this research shows that men prefer women with a deeper voice. In fact, they admit that a woman with a high voice transmits ”youthfulness” and signifies maturity and confidence. If you add that to ”feminine attributes” of the body, this makes up the perfect woman, according to the study.
Less Make Up
Obviously, when women wear make up, it has more to do with their personal choice and self-care rather than men’s attention. Nevertheless, at the end of the day, we all want to be attractive. However, men find women who wear less make up, more appealing than those who do. In fact, the study proved that men prefer women who use up to 40% fewer cosmetics. So, it’s absolutely okay to spend less time in front of your mirror from once and a while. I mean, we need no science to know that the best version of us, is the natural one.
Small Lips
Big, fuller lips always look gorgeous on Instagram pictures, and make up tutorials. Yes, they are very attractive, and we all thought about getting a lip filler at some point. But, men say that a physical feature they find irresistible in women, is having small lips. Better yet, if you wear red lipstick, then your chances are higher in attracting a man’s attention. Scientists have proven that wearing red enhances attraction. In addition, wearing less make up with red lips, just gives you a powerful look, and you already have two of the features men are most looking for.
